PREGNANCY

On May 7, 2016 we found out that we were pregnant. It’s so funny how God works; we had been trying to get pregnant and it became obsessive. Just the week before we decided that we would wait and let it just happen. I had no symptoms or signs of pregnancy (other than being late). I was so nervous to take the test because I didn’t want to get my hopes up. I found out that I was 5 weeks pregnant!

To announce the pregnancy, Keishawn had planned a birthday dinner for me, but to my surprise he invited all of our closest friends and family also. He put together this video and showed it to them all before dinner.

I had a really easy pregnancy besides the fact that I was swelling a lot in my ankles and feet. Because of that, comfort was key for me. I could probably remember 5 times in those 9 months when I got really dressed up or put thought into my outfits for the day. Seriously…

The prettiest I felt was at my baby shower and I was about 29 weeks.

Our shower was baseball themed as a play on our last name, which is Batts. It was held at Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC. Check out the pics!
