Eleuthera: Day 1

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!! I am so excited to share this semi photo diary of our vacation in Eleuthera, Bahamas. Keishawn and I had an amazing time and needless to say, the break from work was MUCH needed. After being back for a week, I think I need ANOTHER vacay STAT. This first set of photos capture our arrival day. I have never visited a resort so serene and beautiful. The Cove Eleuthera did not disappoint.

Even though we live in Charlotte, we flew out of Greensboro. The flights were cheaper and we had time to blow so the layover really didn’t matter to us. We flew from Greensboro, NC to Miami, FL then to Eleuthera. The flight from Miami to Eleuthera was only 45 minutes. Travel Tip: Coordinate a taxi to transport you from the airport to your resort ahead of time. It saves on wait time and confusion after landing. The airport is very small and has limited indoor space to wait for a ride after passing through customs.

Welcome to The Cove Eleuthera. We were greeted by the concierge upon arrival and checked in with ease. They took us to the building above, which is where their restaurant, grille, and pool area are all located. We were treated to Fruit Punch (non-alcoholic) or a Bahama Mama (alcoholic). We both chose the Bahama Mama. Not particularly our drink of choice, but why not?!

We arrived at the resort around Noon EST, and had lunch at the Grille. Their sushi rolls were absolutely amazing! The picture above is just one of the rolls we tried.

I created a highlight on Instagram just for this trip, and in there you will see video of us being carted to our Kamalame Cottage. One of three on the entire resort, this one bedroom-one bath cottage was perfect for the two of us.

I cannot get over how freaking cute this place was! Nor can I get over how comfortable this dress from ASOS was for traveling. Very lightweight and breezy.

Post check-in and lunch, it was finally time to relax. I pulled out the first swimsuit I saw and headed to the beach. I love this swimsuit because of the mixed prints and colors. It’s an oldie but still a good go-to!

Later that night, we went to dinner at the Freedom Restaurant. When I say there isn’t a bad meal option on the menu, I mean it!
