STYLING 1 ZARA SKIRT, 3 WAYS

STYLING 1 ZARA SKIRT, 3 WAYS

I’m so excited to start wearing clothes again. From quarantine to maternity leave, I haven’t been able to enjoy my wardrobe. Don’t get me wrong, I love a nice loungewear set and pjs, but there is nothing like getting dressed. I return to work in December and I am truly looking forward to throwing on a look or two. Lol With that being said, I’ve made it a point to be more intentional about wearing the clothes that I buy, and I’m revisiting items that already live in my closet.

Fall is the perfect time to elevate your style and make your wardrobe work for you. You can achieve this by utilizing a key item. I recently shopped at Zara just like every one has, and got some really nice items to integrate into my current work and play wardrobe this fall.

ZARA FAUX LEATHER MIDI SKIRT

$35.90

You’ve seen it done many times before, but never from me so I’m going to show you how to make an item in your wardrobe stretch. I selected this new beautiful Zara faux leather skirt to style 3 different ways with items that I already owned to achieve to perfect balance of high and low price points.

Look One - Monochromatic Chic

I love this because its effortless. To achieve this monochromatic look all you really have to do is bring the color family together. The hues don’t even have to be the exact same color.

With the skirt is the base, I added a puff shoulder cropped sweater that is slightly tucked into the front of the skirt. To elevate the look, I added this amazing coat from Zara, and a handbag who has now become the hero for obvious reasons.

Look Two - She’s a Lady

This look just screams ladylike to me. She’s covered, but sexy. Here I’ve paired the Zara skirt with a black short sleeved embellished sweater. I kept the same coat and handbag because it’s a total vibe. I swapped the boots for these classic J’Adior slingback pumps.

Look Three: Mahogany

Okay. You know when you put an outfit on and you feel invincible?? Yeah, that’s what I’m feeling. She’s not afraid. She is accessorized, but not too much. She could lose her hat and still have her look, and vice versa with the scarf. Adding the right accessories can really turn your look from okay to OKAYYY I SEE YOU. We may not want those vibes all the time, but a little amp from time to time can’t hurt.

The Zara skirt is reunited with the boots from the first look and we added a new color to the room. Brown is definitely the color to wear for fall but I didn’t invest in chocolate brown yet so i’m reaching for her friend honey brown mmkay. The teddy coat which was huge last year will resurge this fall/winter season as “shearling”. I paired it with a similar colored ribbed cashmere turtleneck tucked into the skirt. To complete the look I added a vintage Gucci handbag.
