If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my 34th birthday was on Friday.

When deciding what to do for my birthday this year, my options to say the least we’re VERY slim. Pregnant and Covid-19 restrictions just don’t mix. I literally had to think about what I could do for myself to make me happy. I love to sit outside on my patio but looking out into my backyard I saw an opportunity for the perfect picnic.

For one, I love charcuterie. A traditional meat and cheese board would have been preferred but because I can eat uncured/uncooked deli meats and soft cheeses, I had to get creative. I’ve been craving a lot of fruit so that’s what inspired me to use fruit.

Now let’s talk about this color blocked dress by Staud. It was one of my first purchases back to work in June. Nordstrom has literally had nonstop sales since we’ve been open and when I saw this dress in my office, I knew I had to have it. So yes, I snagged it on major sale; I believe it was $130 with an additional 25%; regular price was $325. The material of this dress reminds me of what a parachute would be made of. Very lightweight and perfect for a summer day. This version may be hard to find sizes in but they have another color way and also a shorter version available. Check here!

The best part of my day was sharing my birthday cake with Keaton! He was more excited about the candles than me. Lol This moment with him, more than anything I did all day and the gifts received will be my most cherished memory of this birthday.
